from Minneapolis to San Francisco in the fall of
1997. The bay area suited quite well his diverse
musical tastes and his desire to move a dance floor.
He paid his dues at the long running weekly Mayonnaise,
gaining valuable experience as promoter and sound
system medic. As a resident of the legendary Tenderloft
space, Tonic worked along side incredible DJ's,
musicians and artists during the creation of some
epic and notorious events.
Currently, his efforts are focused on recording
and music production, as well as collaborating with

and addicted to electronic music for eight years.

his soul to the gods of breaks, (and a pianist
for eight before that) he sold his drum set to
buy turntables and a mixer shortly after his introduction
to dance music.
Mr. Rude started doing his thing in the San Francisco
rave scene back around 2000 as acid/hard trance/energy/breaks
DJ Darth (Darth Evan before that, a given name
that he never liked). After a several-year hiatus,
Evinrude dove back in and started the breaks weekly
Broke-Ass with cohorts Dirt and Nugz, and the
monthly Smoke Breaks, both at @lpha bar in SF,
as well as a new weekly, Crooked, at Nickie's
in SF. In the spring of 2006, Evan joined San
Francisco's/Black Rock City's Space Cowboys, and
has never been happier as a DJ.
